TJB Does Las Vegas!

Well, This wasn't actually a comic-con but it did involve a good portion of the TJB and this blog needs some attention. So here's some pics.

On the plane, nerding it up. Dual DS-FF.

We just got here and there's already hotel room shenanigans!

The place we called home for a few days, the Excalibur.

The group leaving the Excalibur to get into some trouble. The MGM Grand can be seen across the street.

I actually had to do work while I was on vacation, lame! Anyway, here's the setup in our room.

This is the Stratosphere at the far end of the strip from where we were staying. We took the monorail up one night to see a show here, Bite.

We saw one of the famous wedding chapels while on the north end of the strip.

We wanted to stop at the In-N-Out while we were on the west coast. We could see it from our hotel, but there was an interstate blocking our path. Here we are trying to find a way to get there. It probably took us about 25 minutes to figure out a way, but the food was well worth it (at least that's what Joe will tell you)

The Bellagio fountain. I also recorded a video of part of this show. It was pretty impressive.

Even the McDonald's in Vegas is fancy-shmancy.

This is from the free show at the Treasure Island Hotel. Scantily-clad siren, woohoo! (They wanted us to do something with sugar and honey...)

Caesar's Palace. This was the most incredible hotel casino on the strip, I think. It was about the size of three other one. We never did get around to going inside, unfortunately.

The group about to blow some money on Let it Ride. Looks like everyone's drinking the same thing. (Anne really has a Shirley Temple)

The group again, Just finished eating at the buffet at the Excalibur.

More hotel room shenanigans. Great pose, Anne.

The New York New York, right across the street from our place.

The Paris, opposite the Bellagio.

The Venitian, from the inside. This was one of the most impressive sights I saw during the trip.

The inside of the Luxor. It was hard to get a good picture without a tripod because of the lighting. If can see the diagonal shaft starting near the bottom left of this photo, that is the "inclinator". They have no regular elevators in the place because there's no straight up place to put one. It felt really strange being on that thing.

Anne was in heaven in this shop full of dragon thingies.
